This is our second KvA diorama of 2007. In this scene entitled 60cm Mörser Karl - Gerät 040 "Ziu" we see the mighty 154 ton Karl Mörser - guaranteed to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. Firing a massive 60 cm 2 ton shell up to 4 km, it was capable of piercing a 3 meter thick reinforced concrete bunker. This diorama sees one such beast, "Ziu", being prepared for a fire mission on the Eastern front. .

This was Kampfgruppe von Abt's first photo shoot using pyrotechnics. And it will not be our last! Great fun, and a great effect. Unfortunately we got the background wrong, so the impact on the photo set is minimal. Our next attempt will not repeat this error!
